Enrique Sanchez is the founder and Managing Partner of E.G. Sanchez & Associates, CPAs, which he launched in 2006 and has grown into a three-office practice serving clients across Southern California and Arizona. A University of San Diego graduate with more than two decades in public accounting, he specializes in real estate, construction, manufacturing, and internet taxation. He is a licensed CPA in California and Arizona.
Before founding the firm, Enrique built his practice at several respected San Diego and Temecula-area firms, including Considine & Considine, Peterson & Co., and Swenson Advisors. His work spans tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and business consulting for clients ranging from privately held companies to publicly traded corporations.
Today he leads E.G. Sanchez & Associates as a full-service business advisory practice, pairing technical tax depth with the firm’s Profit Growth Strategies group — a dedicated consulting team that helps business owners improve margins and plan for what’s next, not just file on time.
Outside the office, Enrique spends his time with his family. He’s an avid runner and lifter, and enjoys travel, movies, and a good glass of wine.
Brian Mendez is an Audit & Accounting Partner at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, with nearly two decades of public accounting experience. He began his career in financial planning at a mid-size wealth management firm before moving into public accounting in 2006, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Brian’s audit work covers both publicly and privately held companies, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, across technology, manufacturing, oil and gas, retail, construction, contracting, and non-profit organizations. On the consulting side, he focuses on forensic accounting, litigation support, expert testimony, and evaluation of internal controls. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs.
Outside the office, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and getting out on the golf course.
Sheryl Bruens is a Business Advisory Manager at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, where she works within the firm’s Profit Growth Strategies group. She advises business owners on forecasting, entity structuring, and tax planning, translating complex structuring decisions into practical plans that support long-term growth. Sheryl is an Enrolled Agent and a graduate of California State University San Marcos.
Outside the office, Sheryl spends her time with her family. She’s a devoted Detroit Lions fan and enjoys concerts and cooking.

Vanessa White is a Senior Tax Supervisor at E.G. Sanchez & Associates with more than 20 years of tax and consulting experience in public accounting. She specializes in corporate tax, serving clients across a wide range of industries. An Army veteran, Vanessa earned her accounting degree and moved into public accounting following her military service.
Outside the office, Vanessa is an avid traveler, both internationally and closer to home, and a self-described foodie always looking for the next great meal.
Michael Hoover is Director of Business Growth Strategies at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, bringing more than 25 years of experience in commercial banking and middle-market business advisory. He works with business owners and referral partners to identify advisory opportunities and align business goals with practical financial and operational solutions, and is a graduate of San Diego State University.
Before joining the firm, Michael held senior commercial banking leadership roles, including Senior Commercial Relationship Manager, where he managed a commercial portfolio exceeding $150 million and advised clients on financing structures, cash flow optimization, deposit strategy, and expansion initiatives. That background gives him a banker’s read on what makes a business financeable and a lender’s view of the decisions owners face — a perspective that translates directly into growth planning, capital strategy, and long-term value creation for the firm’s clients.
Outside the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his family.
Jaid Nabi is a Senior Business Strategist at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, bringing more than 17 years of accounting, audit, and tax experience across public accounting, private industry, and government. He specializes in financial statement analysis, tax planning, and strategic business advisory, and is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach.
Before joining the firm, Jaid served as an Internal Revenue Agent with the IRS Small Business/Self-Employed division, conducting complex corporate and individual audits across manufacturing, construction, real estate, and professional services, and as a Tax Auditor with the California Franchise Tax Board. On the private side, he has served as Controller and Accounting Manager for manufacturing companies, implementing cost accounting systems and managing external audits. He also teaches Federal Tax Law and Managerial Accounting as an Adjunct Professor at Cal State Long Beach.

Yovani Ramirez is a Senior Accountant and Enrolled Agent at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, with nearly a decade at the firm and nine tax seasons behind him. He focuses on business tax, working with a client base that ranges from family-owned businesses to construction, consulting, and real estate companies. Yovani also plays a central role in developing the firm’s staff, helping train new hires and leading continuing education so the team stays current as the tax code shifts. He is currently pursuing his CMA license.

Darenh Molano is a Senior Accountant at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, working within the firm’s Audit & Accounting department. His work spans compilation and review engagements as well as tax return preparation, and he partners with the firm’s Business Advisory group on client-specific projects. Darenh is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he earned a degree in Business Management.
Outside the office, Darenh is an avid bowler and singer.
Isaac Estrada is an Accountant at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, working in the firm’s tax department. He prepares business and individual tax returns and supports tax planning strategies for clients across a range of industries. Isaac is a 2022 graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and is currently pursuing his CPA license, continuing to build the technical depth that comes with each filing season.
Outside the office, Isaac is a movie buff with wide-ranging taste, and always up for trying a new steakhouse.
Karla Lopez is a Staff Accountant at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, where she has been part of the tax and accounting team for two years. She has hands-on experience in tax preparation and is expanding her work within the accounting department, while supporting a range of projects across the firm. Bilingual in Spanish, Karla brings accuracy and dependability to every engagement, along with the kind of personal attention clients notice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University.

Claudia Lopez is the Administrative Coordinator at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, with more than 20 years of experience in client management, administrative operations, scheduling, and professional correspondence. She works directly with both prospective and established clients and coordinates closely with every department in the firm. Fully bilingual in Spanish, written and spoken, Claudia is often the first point of contact for the firm’s Spanish-speaking clients. Her background across a range of business sectors shows in her ability to anticipate what a client needs before they ask.
Outside the office, Claudia enjoys spending time with her family, trips to the beach, and cheering on her favorite teams.
Mayra Hunter is the Accounts Receivable Coordinator at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, where she manages accounts payable and receivable for clients and vendors while supporting the firm’s broader administrative operations. She brings nearly two decades of customer service experience to the role, serving as a primary point of contact for clients and vendors on billing questions.

Erik Sanchez is the Operations Manager at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, bringing a decade of experience in the accounting industry. He oversees day-to-day operations across the firm’s Murrieta, Escondido, and Chandler offices, working with every department to keep engagements moving and the client experience consistent from one office to the next. Much of Erik’s work focuses on the firm’s technology and internal processes — evaluating and rolling out new systems, and redesigning how work moves between departments. It’s behind-the-scenes improvement that clients experience as faster turnaround and fewer things falling through the cracks.
Outside the office, Erik is an avid hiker who gets out on the trails whenever he can. A die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan, he bleeds red and gold on game days.

Heidi Rodelo is a Special Platform Operator at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, bringing more than 25 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience. She works with clients on day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax, with particular depth in QuickBooks. Her work also includes accounting cleanup and remediation, as well as supporting clients through sales tax and payroll audits. Two and a half decades in the books has given Heidi an eye for the discrepancies that others miss.
Outside the office, Heidi spends her time with her husband and their pets, and enjoys getting out to concerts.
Leah Killian is a Senior Accountant at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, where her work centers on individual and business tax returns along with tax planning and consulting. She works directly with individuals and business owners across a range of industries, handling both the compliance side and the planning conversations that come before it. Leah holds a Bachelor of Science from California State University San Marcos and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Golden Gate University, balancing graduate coursework alongside a full client load.
Outside the office, Leah enjoys reading and getting out to concerts.
Yajahira Perez is a Staff Accountant at E.G. Sanchez & Associates with experience across multiple tax seasons at a national public accounting firm, specializing in individual and business tax compliance. A CPA candidate, she is recognized for her strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage deadlines with precision. Yajahira believes effective tax accounting is built on accuracy, integrity, and proactive planning—and she is eager to support clients’ growth through strategic tax planning while developing a specialized niche within the firm’s tax practice.
