How we collect, use, and protect your information, on this website and as your CPA firm.
Effective October 8, 2026
E.G. Sanchez & Associates, CPAs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, egsanchez.com, and to the personal information we receive while providing tax, accounting, audit, and advisory services through our offices in Murrieta and Escondido, California, and Chandler, Arizona.
As CPAs, we are bound by strict confidentiality obligations under the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and the rules of the California and Arizona boards of accountancy. Information you provide for tax preparation is also protected by Section 7216 of the Internal Revenue Code, which limits how tax return information may be used or disclosed. We do not sell your personal information, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, which we use to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive at our site, and whether forms are submitted. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited. It does not give us your name or contact details. We use this information only in aggregate to improve our website. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it. Learn more in how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone, except as permitted or required by law. We share information only:
When Internal Revenue Code Section 7216 requires it, we will obtain your written consent before using or disclosing your tax return information.
We limit access to nonpublic personal information to the members of our firm who need it to serve you. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to meet federal requirements, including the FTC Safeguards Rule under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Client documents are exchanged through our encrypted client portal, never through this website. Learn more on our Security Measures page.
Please do not send tax documents, Social Security numbers, or account numbers through our website forms or by regular email. If you need to send documents, call us at (951) 303-1105 and we will provide a secure upload link.
Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, cookies that remember your cookie preferences, and Google Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used (see above). You can manage cookies through our cookie settings or your browser, and you can block analytics cookies without affecting how the site works. Our site does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, and we do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites.
We keep client records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, regulatory, and professional retention requirements, then dispose of them securely. Website inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up.
If an incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable federal and state law, including the data breach notification laws of California and Arizona.
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.
Our site links to third-party services such as our client portal, payment processor, and social media pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above.
