Enrique Sanchez is the Managing Partner and founder of E.G. Sanchez & Associates, CPAs. A graduate of the University of San Diego, he brings over two decades of public accounting experience with deep expertise in real estate, construction, manufacturing, and internet taxation.
Before founding the firm in 2006, Enrique honed his skills at several prominent San Diego and Temecula-area firms, including Considine and Considine, Peterson & Co, and Swenson Advisors. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive knowledge in tax planning strategies, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and business consulting—serving both privately held businesses and publicly traded companies.
Today, Enrique leads E.G. Sanchez & Associates as an all-encompassing business advisory firm, combining best-in-class tax expertise with a consulting approach that sets the firm apart.
Outside of work, Enrique enjoys spending time with his wife, Helen, and their three children—Chasyte, Zachary, and Ryan. He loves watching movies, traveling, weightlifting, jogging, and enjoying a good glass of wine.
Brian Mendez is an Audit & Accounting Partner at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, bringing nearly two decades of public accounting experience. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting, Brian transitioned to public accounting in 2006 after beginning his career in financial planning with a mid-size wealth management firm.
Brian has extensive audit experience spanning both publicly and privately held companies, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. His industry expertise includes technology, manufacturing, oil and gas, retail, construction, contracting, and non-profit organizations. On the consulting side, he specializes in forensic accounting, litigation support, expert testimony, and internal controls evaluation.
Brian is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and hitting the golf course.
Sheryl Bruens is a Business Advisory Manager at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, specializing in PGS, forecasting, business advisory, entity structuring, and tax planning. With a comprehensive approach to financial strategy, she partners with clients to navigate complex business decisions and optimize their financial outcomes. Sheryl is known for her ability to translate intricate tax and structuring concepts into actionable plans that support long-term growth and stability.
Outside of work, Sheryl enjoys spending time with her husband, Lee, and their daughter, Avery. A devoted Detroit Lions fan, she’s ride or die for her team on game days. She also enjoys attending concerts, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and unwinding with a spa day or shopping trip.

Jaid Nabi is a Senior Business Strategist at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, bringing over 17 years of accounting, audit, and tax experience across public accounting, private industry, and government sectors. He holds a Master of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach, and specializes in financial statement analysis, tax planning, and strategic business advisory services.
Prior to joining the firm, Jaid served as an Internal Revenue Agent with the IRS Small Business/Self-Employed division and as a Tax Auditor for the California Franchise Tax Board. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at CSULB, teaching Federal Tax Law and Managerial Accounting.
Outside of work, Jaid enjoys spending time with his family and contributing to professional education initiatives.
Vanessa White is a Senior Tax Supervisor with more than 20 years of experience in tax and consulting within public accounting. She serves a diverse range of clients across various industries, bringing depth and adaptability to every engagement. A proud Army veteran, Vanessa pursued her accounting degree and career in public accounting after her military service—a transition that reflects her discipline, dedication, and drive for continuous growth.
Outside of work, Vanessa is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring destinations both near and far, whether domestically or internationally. A self-described foodie, she’s always on the hunt for her next great meal. With her twins now grown, Vanessa made the move to the beach—embracing a well-earned change of scenery.

Yovani Ramirez is an Enrolled Agent with nearly a decade of experience at the firm and eight tax seasons under his belt. He specializes in business tax, serving a diverse client base that includes mom-and-pop businesses, construction companies, consulting firms, and real estate ventures. Currently pursuing his CMA license, Yovani is committed to continuous professional growth.
Beyond his client work, Yovani plays a key role in developing the next generation of tax professionals. He helps train new staff and leads continued education efforts to ensure the team stays current with evolving tax code changes.
Outside of work, Yovani keeps his mind sharp with puzzles, unwinds in the garden, and spends his evenings stargazing.
Darenh is a UCSC alumni who graduated in 2021 with a degree in Business Management. He has recently joined E.G. Sanchez and Associates as a Staff Accountant. His main tasks include compiling financial statements, bookkeeping, and assisting Sheryl, our Senior Management Accountant, with client specific projects. Darenh has a variety of hobbies outside of work that includes bowling, singing, and investing in cryptocurrencies. One day, he hopes to be a semi-pro bowler with the vocal range of Adele.

Isaac is a Staff Accountant at E.G. Sanchez & Associates. He assists with and performs various tasks such as: individual tax returns, business tax returns, and tax compilations. In Summer of 2022, he will be graduating from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. Outside of the office, Isaac enjoys going to the gym, and spending time with his family and friends. Besides from family and friends and going to the gym, he enjoys keeping up with space news. For example, SpaceX launches and NASA missions.

Claudia Lopez serves as the Administrative Supervisor at E.G. Sanchez & Associates, bringing more than 20 years of comprehensive experience in client management, administrative operations, scheduling, and professional correspondence. In her role, Claudia works directly with both prospective and established clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and reliable administrative support. Fully bilingual in Spanish, she effectively assists and communicates with Spanish-speaking clients.
